Corrections policy
We correct errors as quickly as we can. When we change a material fact, we note what was wrong and what we updated.
Principles
- Facts first. Primary sources preferred — gazettes, filings, on-record officials, named outlets.
- No invented quotes, death tolls, or anonymous-only bombshells.
- Clear labelling. Opinion is labelled Opinion. Sample or preview content is marked until replaced.
- Independence. Coverage of companies and governments is editorial; advertising, if any later, will be separated.
- No wire affiliation claims. AB24 is not AP, Reuters or AFP.
- Conflicts. Staff with material conflicts recuse; the publisher line remains James King.
How to request a correction
- Email corrections@africanbulletin24.com with the story URL, the passage in question, and the correct information with a source where possible.
- We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to publish a note on the story once verified.
What we correct
Names, titles, figures, dates, locations, and any claim that misstates a verifiable fact. Spelling and grammar fixes that do not change meaning may be made quietly.
Opinion
Opinion pieces are labelled. We correct factual errors in opinion the same way; we do not "correct" matters of judgment.
Launch samples
Stories marked as sample, preview or stub are illustrative until fully sourced. They should not be cited as finished news.
